ISKCON of Silicon Valley has formed a non profit, nonsectarian charitable food distribution program named “Free Veg Meals For All”. The American Cancer Society reports that approximately 9,910 children in the United States under the age of 15 will be diagnosed with cancer in 2023. Cancer is currently one of the leading causes of death in children in the United States, and the leading cause of death in children by disease. The following organizations are working towards a shared mission of ending childhood cancer and supporting children and families impacted by a pediatric cancer diagnosis. These organizations are providing supportive services for children and families impacted by pediatric cancer and utilizing research and advocacy to innovate medical treatments and increase awareness surrounding pediatric cancer in an effort to find a cure.

This project aims to provide financial support to the elderly in India, as we know, India is home to a large population of elderly people who have worked hard all their lives to provide for their families and contribute to society. Unfortunately, many of them are now facing a difficult situation due to a lack of resources and support. Impact Guru starting a fundraising cause to help elderly people in India who are struggling to make ends meet. Our goal is to raise enough funds to provide them with basic necessities such as food, shelter, and healthcare. May is Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) Awareness Month. Many of you may remember the Ice Bucket Challenge from the videos of people dumping ice water over their heads to promote awareness of ALS and encourage donations to research. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, is a progressive nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, causing muscle weakness and eventually leading to paralysis. Living with ALS can be a complicated and overwhelming experience, but thankfully, many support services are available to help individuals and their families cope with the disease. By donating to ALS support services, you can help improve the lives of those living with ALS and provide a sense of hope and support for their loved ones. Medication and therapy can slow ALS and reduce discomfort, but there's no cure. This project aims at providing financial help to patients in India, suffering from Cancer, Impact Guru identifies these patients who need financial support for their Hospital Expenses, and supports them through crowdfunding and raising grants. Cancer is a disease in which some of the body’s cells grow uncontrollably and spread to other parts of the body. Cancer can start almost anywhere in the human body, which is made up of trillions of cells. Normally, human cells grow and multiply (through a process called cell division) to form new cells as the body needs them. When cells grow old or become damaged, they die, and new cells take their place. Sometimes this orderly process breaks down, and abnormal or damaged cells grow and multiply when they shouldn’t. The estimated number of incident cases of cancer in India for the year 2022 was found to be 14,61,427 (crude rate:100.4 per 100,000). In India, one in nine people is likely to develop cancer in his/her lifetime. Lung and breast cancers were the leading sites of cancer in males and females, respectively. Among the childhood (0-14 yr) cancers, lymphoid leukemia (boys: 29.2% and girls: 24.2%) was the leading site. The incidence of cancer cases is estimated to increase by 12.8 percent in 2025 as compared to 2020. Globally, cancer is the leading cause of death, accounting for 10 million, or one in six, deaths in 2020, according to WHO. In India, too, cancer is the leading cause of death, with 7.84 lakh deaths recorded in 2018, and 13.92 lakh cases reported in 2020. As the cost break-up shows, cancer is an expensive illness to manage. Besides, screening for early detection, diagnostics, and treatment, it involves posttreatment care and rehabilitation. In 2022, the Global Fund for Humanity launched a critical initiative to aid women and children in Gaza grappling with traumatic limb amputations. The situation is urgent, with many children and women in Gaza bearing the scars of gunshot or bombing injuries, while others were born with defects necessitating amputations. To ensure they receive the vital care needed to regain mobility, the Global Fund for Humanity established a community-based treatment program with our local partners . This often involves sending children abroad for care that is not locally available. We also work in collaboration with the Hamid Rehabilitation Hospital in Gaza City to provide local treatment. In 2024, we expanded our efforts to include mental health treatment and support for these children. We also initiated support for the training of local staff at Hamid Hospital and the provision of essential materials and equipment. By supporting this crucial work, you can make a significant difference in the lives of children in Gaza affected by limb amputations.
